Chitral & Kalash Valley Tour Packages for Culture Lovers & Mountain Seekers

Milestone Destinations invites travellers from Pakistan and abroad to discover Chitral — a highland district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where green valleys, snow-capped peaks, and living traditions meet at the roof of the Hindukush.

Our itineraries cover comfortable road transfers through the Lowari Tunnel, hand-picked 3-star hotels, authentic nights in Kalash family homes, private 4×4 jeeps, English-speaking local guides, permits arranged in advance, daily breakfast, and round-the-clock support from our Islamabad and Chitral teams.

Whether you join for the Chilam Joshi or Shandur Polo festivals, soak in Garam Chashma's hot springs, or walk quietly through Chitral Gol National Park — we design trips so you experience the region deeply, not just pass through it.

Why Visit Chitral & the Kalash Valleys?

Chitral feels unlike anywhere else in Pakistan — crisp mountain air, fast rivers, and peaks that seem to touch the sky. In the Kalash valleys, communities still honour ancient customs, bright dress, and music passed down for generations.

Every season brings its own charm: spring carpets the slopes in wildflowers, autumn turns poplar groves gold, and winter drapes villages in soft snow. From May through October roads stay open and meadows are at their best; winter tours reward those who love silence, hot springs, and festival firelight.

We keep groups small, work fairly with local families, and plan routes that balance culture, scenery, and rest — so your Chitral holiday feels personal, safe, and genuinely memorable.

  • Festival-timed Kalash culture tours
  • Doorstep pickup from Islamabad

Beautiful Places to Visit in Chitral

Kalash villages, alpine passes, healing springs, and wildlife country — the stops our guests remember long after the journey ends.

Ayun Valley

Ayun Valley

Twenty minutes from Chitral town, Ayun is a painter's valley — orchards, green fields, and the sound of water at every turn. Ideal for an evening stroll and fresh apricots straight from the branch.

Kalash Valleys

Kalash Valleys

Bumburet, Rumbur, and Birir are the cultural heart of Chitral. Stay in family guesthouses, share walnut bread and local hospitality, and time your visit with Chilam Joshi, Uchal, or Choimusun for the brightest expressions of Kalash life.

Garam Chashma

Garam Chashma

Mineral-rich hot springs in a mountain setting — stone pools where warm water meets cold air. Locals have long believed the springs ease joints and skin; sitting here while snow falls nearby is one of Chitral's simplest pleasures.

Chitral Gol National Park

A protected haven for markhor, ibex, and the elusive snow leopard. You may spot fresh tracks in winter snow even if the cat stays hidden — gentle walks, big views, and deep silence define a day here.

Shandur Pass

At roughly 3,700 metres, Shandur hosts the world's highest polo ground. Each July the famous festival pits Chitral against Gilgit in free-style matches amid music, tents, and lake-side camping under the stars.

Booni & Mastuj

Historic villages with wooden mosques and welcoming locals. Rivers converge here and mountain light shifts by the hour — a rewarding stop on longer Hindukush circuits.

Tirich Mir Base Camp

For active travellers, a moderate trek toward the base of Tirich Mir (7,708 m) — the Hindukush's highest peak. Three days of flower meadows and glacier views without extreme technical climbing.

Madaklasht

A renowned snow-leopard habitat reached by jeep tracks through quiet country. Winter offers the best chance to find pugmarks in fresh snow — a rare, respectful wildlife experience with local experts.
